It seems so surreal that today is the last day of 2015 and that this is the last blog post of the year. Can someone stop the time, please? No? Okay.
Well, anyway, I decided to make the last playlist of the year party themed - everyone likes to get into the party mood and be all hyped for the celebration, and New Year's Eve is no exception. So here are some songs I've picked out to make you ready for a sleepless night with your friends/family.
1. One Direction - Temporary Fix (this song has been in every playlist I've made recently because it's the current soundtrack to my life)
2. 5 Seconds of Summer - Permanent Vacation
3. Justin Bieber - Sorry
4. The 1975 - Love Me
5. Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj - Bang Bang
6. Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney - FourFive Seconds
7. The Weeknd - In The Night
8. Ed Sheeran - Sing
9. James Bay - Best Fake Smile
10. Rihanna - Cheers
11. Years & Years - Desire
12. The 1975 - Girls
13. Ellie Goulding - On My Mind
14. Pia Mia, Tyga & Chris Brown - Do It Again
15. Ariana Grande - One Last Time
16. Fifth Harmony ft. Kid Ink - Worth It
17. One Direction - Where Do Broken Hearts Go
18. Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money
19. The Weeknd - Can't Feel My Face
20. 5 Seconds of Summer - Just Saying

Enjoy these songs (here they are on 8tracks) and have an amazing night wherever you're spending it. Happy New Year!

Hello everybody, I hope you've had a great Christmas and are ready for New Year's now. I'm ready to recommend some goodies to you.
○ December Album: Troye Sivan - Blue Neighbourhood
I've been completely obsessed with this album even since it came out. If you aren't familiar with Troye's music (what are you waiting for?), it's pop with elements of electronic music if I do say so myself. The lyrics kill me every time cause they're so utterly beautiful. If you wanna give it a listen, I strongly encourage you to. Just in case you're curious, my favourite songs are Talk Me Down, COOL and for him. - listen to those and you'll be in love. I definitely haven't done this album justice, but I tried to.
○ December TV Show: Mr. Robot
I'll be honest I've only watched one episode of this show, but I'm completely into it and can't wait to continue watching it. It's about a hacker who works as a cybersecurity engineer. One day he's recruited by a group of hackers and he's supposed to help them bring down corporate America. By day, he's just a socially anxious (and a bit paranoid) guy who doesn't like his job and by night he's a hacker trying to save people. Of course there's a bit of a love interest involved, but it's not a very evolved story so far. Rami Malek plays the starring role of young Elliot and he is a real hottie. If you're lost after my explanation, watch a trailer or just start watching it and you won't be sorry.
○ Favourite Vlogmases
Obviously it's the best month on YouTube and everyone is doing Vlogmas. We all have our favourites, so here are mine.
The first one is Zoella as I've always liked watching her vlogs. They're all pretty long, so that's a bonus.
Then, we have Jess from sunbeamjess (vlog channel: extrasunbeamjess). I've talked about her Vlogtober as well so you can tell how much I love her vlogs. For some reason, I love that she her uni stuff is included in the vlogs.
Last but not least is Gabriella from velvetgh0st (vlog channel: PlanetGabb). She's really funny, she's got an amazing apartment and a gorgeous cat hence she's one of my favourite vloggers. I generally love her vlogs, though, and I like her main channel as well, but I'm all about the vlogs lately.

That's all I've got for you today. I'll talk to you Thursday.

First off, I'd like to say sorry for the lack of content yesterday, it was a bit of a hectic day being the last day of school and all. I'm back now, though.
If you're not a fan of red lipstick, but still wanna wear a bit of red on your face - go for the eyes, I say. That's a bit of a weird sentence, but you know what I mean.
I've done a review of the KIKO Long Lasting Sticks a few months ago and I told you how much I love the red one. I love using in inside of my waterline, but it's also a great all over the lid colour. Because my eyes have quite a bit of green pigment in them, even though they're brown, this eyeshadow colour brings it out so much it's crazy.
Anyway, to cut the rambling, if you wanna skip the red lip on Christmas, I recommend going for a red eyeshadow (especially if you've got green eyes). This one in particular is super easy to use so you won't find yourself spending hours on it - just swipe it all over the lid and blend it out. It doesn't look like you've been punched in the eye, don't worry.
So that would be the first step - applying and blending a red eyeshadow.
The second and final step is obviously applying mascara. The one I highly recommend is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara (review) as it gives your lashes volume and makes them look longer and just all round amazing. (Also, can anyone tell me their thoughts on the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara? I'm interested in buying it.)
And with that, you're done. Obviously, you can add a crease colour, a highlight shade on your brow bone and inner corner, some eyeliner, etc, but I just wanted to give you an example of a super simple look.
However, if you'd prefer gold eyeshadow, I've already talked about that look here.
So, this is the last Blogmas post this year. It was lots of fun and I hope it's fun to read as well. I'll talk to you on Sunday I guess. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Recently I've been experiencing lots of brow troubles - they started to get a bit more sparse and weird shaped. This obviously makes it really hard to get them to look the same and acceptable. I've realised that the only thing that can help is me refraining from using tweezers no matter what and googling ways to grow your brows. I'd been trying to make them grow using coconut oil, and when I googled this I realised I hadn't been wrong.
Thus I've started using coconut oil on my brows before I go to bed every night - I melt a little bit between my fingers (it's in a pot) and apply it onto my brows as if it was a cream. I've also started applying it on my eyelashes again.
I don't know how long it takes to see results, but I feel like there already are some visible results and I've been doing it for less than a month. If I notice a definite change I'll make sure to let you know (I know I said that when I tried to grow my lashes, but I didn't notice any difference so I didn't have what to update you on). Don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to it.
Also, I am really restraining myself from tweezing them even though some parts are looking a bit cray cray, so that's a good sign of self control, I think.

Here comes another tag post because I love them. This one should show you a bit of behind the scenes action, I guess. Let's dig in.
1) How many hours a week do you spend planning/writing/uploading posts?
This definitely depends on multiple factors - what kind of blog posts I'm writing, how busy I am with school, how inspired I'm feeling, etc. I think that the thing that takes most time is thinking of a blog post, but once that's sorted out, it doesn't take me long to write it, take photos and upload it. Also, I usually write them on the day they're supposed to be up, which is a bit unorganized, but it's difficult with afternoon classes and studying.

2) Are you a spender or a saver?
I am definitely a saver - I get some pocket money everyday for lunch or whatever and I usually try not to spend it so it goes into my piggy bank.

3) When is it easiest for you to write blog posts?
Whenever I am feeling inspired.

4) What makes writing blog post comfortable for you?
I generally feel very comfortable blogging because it's just a hobby for me and I don't ever do something that makes me feel uncomfortable or unsettled. I guess the only type of posts I'm a bit uncomfortable with writing are the ones about my thoughts (e.g. Elaborating Quotes), the rest I'm fine with.

5) What's your worst makeup/hair habit?
My worst hair habit has to be constantly fiddling with it and/or tying it up in a ponytail or a bun. Through the day it just tends to get really annoying cause it's really long and it keeps getting in my face, so I just need to tie it up to prevent that from happening. That's probably the reason why it's so damaged - I just have no patience with it to wear it down all day long.

6) What's one quote you wish the world would live by?
Make love, not war. It's a really cheesy one, but I think in this day and age, we would all be much better off living by it.

7) How long do you spend getting ready everyday?
It depends on my mood and what I'm doing with my makeup. It can take from 15 minutes up to an hour. If I'm doing eyeliner, it takes me about three days to get ready.
However, when I've got morning classes I'm not too bothered with makeup, so it takes me about 20 minutes.

8) What's your favourite post on your blog?
I don't have a favourite individual post, but I do have a favourite series - A Short History Of... (nail polish, lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara) That was super fun to write and I just had a blast researching it all and finding out some information about makeup I hadn't known before.

9) Who is a beauty blogger that you think deserves more subscribers than they have?
I honestly have no idea cause I don't really know how big some blogs are, but there are definitely many that deserve many more readers than they have. If you have some recommendations, leave them in the comments.

10) What's one thing you're excited about the coming year?
Oh, man. I'm scared about a lot of things, but what am I excited about? I think as much as it scares the living crap out of me, I think deep down I might actually be excited about graduating high school. The things that come after that give me butterflies and lots of anxiety, but I think in the end it's a good thing.

11) What has been your favourite blogging moment?
Well, as you're probably aware that I have a pretty small blog a.k.a only about a handful of people read it, I haven't had any huge accomplishments with it. However, my favourite moments were telling my friends and family about it because they were all very supportive and some of my friends were very excited to read it and would text me every week to give me feedback. It was definitely nerve wracking telling them and thinking they would consider me lame and stupid, but it all turned out okay.

12)  How long does it take to prep for a post?
As I've said, once I've got the idea in my mind, I can start doing it whenever and finish pretty quickly if I don't procrastinate. If I don't have a planned one, I'll just google some tags or look through my twitter to get some ideas. Sometimes I even go round my room looking for something that would make a fun post. It really depends on the blog post and on my mood.

13) Are you wearing jeans right now or are you wearing pajama bottoms?
I am actually wearing pajama bottoms. No surprise there, I don't like sitting around the house in jeans. I'm also in bed, which is no surprise either.

There you have it. Now I'm off, talk to you tomorrow.

Today I've prepared two tips for easier application of makeup, but it's possible that you already know them. Let's see.
1) The first one is regarding liquid eyeliner. Most of us dread this step and are prone to overdoing it in order to make it even, which ruins the rest of our makeup. I've got a tip that is pretty obvious, but might be helpful. What you'll need is an angled brush and a black eyeshadow. Once you're ready to start, just outline the wanted shape with the eyeshadow - if you mess up, it's much easier to remove and tweak it than the actual eyeliner. When you've made it the shape you want and somewhat even, you should be ready to go in with eyeliner and finish it off. If you still manage to mess up (which happens to me a lot), just use a damp cotton bud and remove the mistake.

2) This next one is all about the brows. If you fill in your brows with a powder and don't own an eyebrow wax (which is a life saver and I'm gutted that I ran out), here's something you can do to make the powder stick better. My brows are very strange, they aren't too close to my skin as they're kinda curly, it's difficult to explain, but the point is that powder doesn't always do the job on it own. So, instead of applying powder first and brow gel or clear mascara second (if you even do that), I do it in reverse. When I apply the gel first, I let it dry for some time and then I start applying the powder. Because the gel is kind of sticky, it makes the powder a bit more pigmented and it stay in place. Also, you can make the shape with the gel and then just fill in your brows, rather than overdrawing your brows with the powder. The amount of times I've said powder in this paragraph is ridiculous.

Those are my two very simple, yet very useful tips. Hope you'll find them helpful.

Winter break is approaching and I'm planning on using my time on it to the fullest (or something close). Here's what I'd like to do:
○ rearrange the furniture in my room
○ study for my college entrance exam
○ study, study, study
○ read at least two books
○ have lots of fun with my friends
○ make cookies
○ learn to cook something
○ be more adventurous (lol as if that's ever going to happen)
○ write more
○ drink lots of water
○ throw in some exercise into my days
○ get the perfect gift for my friend whose Secret Santa I am
○ go ice-skating and not be afraid
○ have a great NY's Eve
○ watch lots of Christmas movies
○ find more new music
That's most of the things I'm planning on doing. Tell me what you'll be doing this winter break in the comments.

Today I've got a sort of a beauty hack post, I guess. Recently I've been really into contouring, but given that I don't actually own a contouring product, I had to be creative. So that is when I went through my makeup collection and looked for things that could work as a contouring powder. And guess what - I found it!
I realised that my eyebrow powder duo (NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Blonde) is really cool toned and would make a really nice shadow under the cheekbones. Basically, what I did was I rook a big round angled brush, swirled it around the duo and applied it to my cheekbones. I didn't use a lot of product  at once because I didn't want it to be too dramatic. I simply applied little by little until I was satisfied with the result. It's a really simple technique and I love that I can use one product for two purposes - getting my eyebrows on fleek and making my face a bit more structured.
I also blend it in really well, so that I don't look like I've got mud on my face or anything similar. That's it - that's how I get cheekbones in about a minute, so if you've got an eyeshadow or an eyebrow powder that's a bit gray toned and you don't own a cool toned bronzer, try and experiment with what you've got.

We all knew there would be a tag post sooner or later and it just so happens to be sooner. Let's answer some questions.

1) What's your favourite Christmas movie?
I really like Elf, which is the obvious choice. Besides that one, I enjoy watching The Holiday and of course I can't forget Home Alone.

2) What's your favourite Christmas colour?
I find this question a bit strange as I'm not too sure which colours you'd consider 'Christmas' ones, but let's say they're red, green and gold. In that case, I am obviously going to pick gold.

3) Do you like to stay in your PJs or dress up for Christmas?
I actually like to dress up. Not too fancy, but I like to be dressed and with some makeup on. When I spend the whole day in pajamas, I don't feel too good about myself for some reason, so I like to at least put a shirt on and stay in pajama bottoms.

4) If you could only buy one person a present this year who would it be?
Because I am a minor and do not earn money, the money that I save up I usually don't spend on gifts (don't think I'm horrible, I just don't have money). However, this year I think me and my two friends are doing Secret Santa, so I'd by one of them a present.

5) Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning?
I open them on Christmas Morning as that's when we go round grandmas' houses.

6) Have you ever built a Gingerbread house?
I actually haven't, but it looks like lots of fun, so I'll have to try and do it some time.

7) What do you like to do on your Christmas break?
Usually I like to just chill in my bed watching movies and TV shows and then go out with some friends in the evening. This year, though, I'll be studying for my college entrance exam. Fun times!

8) Any Christmas wishes?
I'm one of those people who have a billion wishes until the moment someone asks me what they are. At that point they always seem to disappear. I guess my biggest wish at the moment is to get into college. Another boring answer, soz.

9) Favourite Christmas smell?
I really like cinnamon and vanilla scented things. I also love the smell of gingerbread cookies.

10) Favourite Christmas meal or treat?
My favourite Christmas meal is breakfast which we have at my grandma's house - the food is always different, but she always makes it perfectly. I also like Christmas Eve dinner containing ham, cheese, eggs, etc.
That's all for this tag, talk to you tomorrow!

I'm on a role with all these gift posts, aren't I? I am cheekily tryna things to buy my for the friend whose Secret Santa I am. I hope they are helpful to some of you as well. Today I tried to think of things you can make yourself, as the title suggests, and don't have to spend lots of money on - just for the material I guess.
❄ Bake them cookies! Every human being would appreciate that.
❄ Make them a CD with a playlist on it and maybe even include a cheeky little voice message.
❄ Get loads of photos of you together and cute things that remind you of a certain memory you've shared and make your giftee a scrapbook. Or opt for the easier option which is a photo album. Trust me, making scrapbooks leads to little sleep and a lot of back pain, but it's worth it.
❄ Make them a collage with the pictures of you together.
❄ If you're more into the virtual version of reminiscing, you can put the photos in a video or something of that sort.
❄ Write them a song.
❄ Write them a letter.
❄ Write them a short story.
❄ Make them a memory box. This is essentially a box filled with photos and little things that you have from the adventures you've shared. Basically, it's an easier version of a scrapbook.
❄ Draw them something.
❄ Make them a card.
That's all. If the person your gifting is more into the sentimental things rather than material, I think these gifts are a great way of showing your love. Also, you can always get them something on the side. These presents can be very fun to make and a way to express your creativity (and possible talent). Good luck!

In yesterday's blog post I mentioned beauty very briefly because I wanted to write a blog post dedicated to strictly beauty items. So here's what I came up with:
❄ A good eyeshadow palette is always a good idea. It's very useful and you can find a lot of different ones. Another good thing is that a lot of brands to them, so you can find one that's in your budget.
❄ Contouring seems to be the biggest deal at the moment, so you can get someone a contouring palette. Everyone's raving about the Anastasia one, but you can find them in the drugstore as well (NYX for an example).
❄ If your giftee is a nail polish lover, you can get them a set of nail polishes which seem to be very popular around Christmas time.
❄ You can never go wrong with a kit of makeup brushes as that's something everyone who uses makeup needs.
❄ There are lots of cute makeup bags around and I feel like not everyone will buy one for themselves, so that's where you can come in. You can opt for a Christmasy one or a regular (boring) one.
❄ Red or berry lips are hugely on trend during winter and especially Christmas time, so there's an idea for you. You can never have enough of lipsticks, though, am I right?
❄ I don't know if you'll consider this beauty, but bath salts, bath bombs, etc make a really good gift. If your friend likes to unwind in a relaxing bath, this is just the thing to go for.
❄ Hand creams, lotions, moisturizers and those kind of things can also make a good gift. I'm not sure if I'd go for proper skincare as you don't know the type of skin your giftee has.
Those are all the things that came to my mind. Feel free to comment your own ideas and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Everybody seems to be doing all sorts of gift guides so I thought I'd join in the fun. This isn't really a gift guide where I tell you which products to buy, just general things that make a nice present.
❄ Books are always a good present if the person likes to read. There's something you can find for every age and each interest group. If they aren't into reading, you can get them a silly one to make them laugh. And don't forget to write a note in it.
❄ Perfumes are a trickier present, but if you really know the person and know what kind of scents they like, you can definitely find something they'd enjoy.
❄ A wallet is something that everyone needs and I think it's a really nice gift idea, especially if you notice that they don't have one. It's also great if you don't know the person too well.
❄ This time of year, and this year in particular, scarves are a huge thing and you can't go wrong with gifting it to someone. Most stores do amazing scarves that are super cute and cosy with all sorts of prints and in lots of different colours, so finding one shouldn't be a problem.
❄ Scented candles are what most people like, but not everyone will buy them for themselves. There are obviously lots of them available, especially this time of year when they bring out all the Christmas scents.
❄ A Christmas jumper is always a good idea and also something not everyone buys for themselves. Even if they do, you can never have too many Christmas jumpers.
❄ Cute pajamas will definitely make someone's day. They don't have to be Christmasy, there are lots of cute PJs that aren't Xmas themed.
❄ Makeup is a very safe option if you know the person likes it, there are lots of kits and offers this time of year so you can find something appropriate. It doesn't have to be makeup, you can find brushes or skincare or nail polishes... Anything beauty related really. And it doesn't have to be just for girls.
That's all I could think of today. As you can see from the title, I'm starting Blogmas today and I'll try to keep up 'till the end. Fingers crossed. Talk to you tomorrow.

I'm in that finals panic mode so I've been staring at textbooks and notebooks and notepads and sticky notes a lot lately. That's why I thought it would be nice to give you some pointers on how to learn easier. You've most likely already heard some of these tips, but hopefully some will be helpful anyway.
○ start a few weeks before your test
○ read both the notes you took and the textbook
○ highlight or underline the most important parts
○ write the most important bits on sticky notes and stick them onto a paper
○ try to repeat what you've read out loud
○ repeat, repeat, repeat
○ ask someone for help if you're stuck
○ try writing some things down
○ get notes from the textbook as well
○ organize your time well
○ stick to your schedule
○ drink lots of water
○ get as much sleep as possible
○ turn off the internet on your phone and try to refrain from using it (I'm not very good at this one)
○ motivate yourself with a reward for successfully finished work
○ drink lots of tea/coffee/hot chocolate to comfort yourself
○ don't use your laptop
○ do your best to avoid watching Vlogmas
○ wear comfy clothes
○ don't study in bed cause you'll get sleepy; study at a desk or some sort of a working environment

I think that's all I have for you, but if anyone wants to share their tips, you can comment down below (I love how I keep talking to myself thinking someone's reading).

This is my third time writing about books I wanna read, and I'll be honest, I still haven't read all the ones that I've listed. But here's my latest wishlist.

1. Irving Stone - Lust for Life (can you tell I'm really into Van Gogh?)
I bought this book a few weeks ago and still haven't had enough time to fully commit to it. I've been reading books for school and studying, so I'm looking forward to finally digging into it one of these days. I forgot to mention that it's a biography of Vincent Van Gogh.

2. Harper Lee - To Kill a Mockingbird
This one has been on my wishlist (or reading list if you will) for the longest time and as my mum has purchased it a few months ago, I think it is high time I read it.

3. F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby
I mean, this one is just a classic and I can't forgive my self for not having read it yet.

4. James Franco - Palo Alto
If you've read my May Recommendations, you'll know that Palo Alto is one of my favourite movies and the fact that it was based on a book makes me really happy because it means there's much more to it that I can  enjoy. Well, hopefully it is enjoyable.

5. Jostein Gaarder - Sophie's World
This is another one that I've been wanting to read for a long, long time but never got around to it. I've been really bad at committing to books and I am annoyed with myself.

6. John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle - Let It Snow
I simply need to reread this one because it's Xmas season and it's the only Christmasy book that I own. Also, I found it really entertaining when I read it last, so I don't see why not.

7. Cassandra Clare - The Mortal Instruments: City of Fallen Angels
I just freaking need to finish this book franchise. I've been reading it for years because I'm not very good at reading PDF books for some reason.

That's all for this time, I tried keeping it shorter and a bit more realistic even though who knows when I'll actually finish reading all of these. This and this are my previous reading lists if you are interested.  Now I'm going back to listening to Blue Neighbourhood. Goodbye for now.
P.S. I apologize once again for not doing Blogmas this year, I am a bit gutted about it, but I have way too many things that I need to focus on much more. But I am trying to think of something that will make up the fact that I'm not daily blogging.

I need to scream for a few hours because the time is going way too quickly and I don't wanna grow up. It's really scary. But, that aside, let's see what I've got for you this month.
○ November Album:
You've probably guessed it, it's Made in the A.M, of course! For all of you lost souls who don't know what I'm talking about, it's One Direction's new album and it is the best one they've ever made. If you're not normally a 1D fan, I still recommend you give it a listen, because it's much different to their old sound, it's much more mature and grown up and you can really see their progress from five years ago to now. My absolute favourite tracks from this album are: A.M, Temporary Fix (if you're gonna listen to anything, listen to this one) and Love You Goodbye, but I obviously love the rest of them as well. I know not everyone will like it, but it's my favourite and I needed to include it.
○ November Artist: Ariana Grande
This is apparently another musical month for me. I've recently discovered some of her song which I hadn't heard before and I decided to download the album. Out of 16 songs on the My Everything album, I'm not too keen on one song, but I love the rest. She's got an amazing voice and her songs put me in a really good mood for some reason. The genre of her music is defined as pop and dance-pop, so you can get an image of what you can expect. My favourite songs from the album are Just a Little Bit of Your Heart, One Last Time and Be My Baby.

○ November Movie: Van Gogh: Painted With Words
This is BBC's documentary about Vincent Van Gogh based on his letters to his brother Theo. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the role of Van Gogh, so you know it's a good one. I found it really interesting and I learned a lot about Van Gogh that made me appreciate him even more than before. If you're interested in him, like his art and want to find out more about him, go watch this movie. I also found it a bit emotional at the end, to be honest. I think it's a really well made documentary and it holds your attention.

Unfortunately, that's all I've got for you this month because I've been pretty busy again, but I've already got some things that I think are gonna make next month's recommendations. Also, I'm not doing Blogmas this year because I just don't have enough time for it, but I will try to think of something special for December, I promise.
