Flatlay with Rimmel Match Perfection foundation

Finding the perfect foundation is the mission of every makeup lover. Luckily, the market is full of all sorts of foundations that can cater to everyone's needs. Whether you like light coverage or a full-on mask, there's something for you out there. Today I'm here to talk about one of my favorite foundations - the Rimmel Match Perfection. As you can see in the photo, mine is pretty much gone, which goes to show how much I love it. That's why I decided to finally tell you all about it. It deserves a full post, so here goes.

This is the second bottle of this foundation that I've used up, which truly says a lot. I usually like to try out different foundations and don't repurchase many of them. But I pretty much fell in love with this one and you best believe I'll be buying a third bottle soon.

If you're a fan of full coverage foundations, you might want to look away. The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation isn't exactly full coverage, but it provides the most gorgeous finish. It's not too dewy, but it's not matte either. It makes your skin look healthy and covers most of the imperfections on your face. You can definitely build it up if you need to. I'm someone who's got acne scars all over, but I usually don't find myself needing a second layer.

On days when I feel like I need heavier coverage, I simply apply this foundation with a brush. That way it provides you with a fuller coverage than if you were to apply it with a beauty sponge. But if you want it to sink into the skin beautifully and you don't mind taking some of the coverage away, using a beauty blender with it is a great option too. Most days, I'll apply it with a brush and go over my face with the sponge - just to make it look more seamless. However I apply it, I never find it to be cakey.

The consistency is more on the thick side, but it's very easy to blend and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It's quite creamy, so it's easy to work with. I personally always set my foundation with powder cause I've got oily skin, so I do the same with this one. Because it's creamier than some other products, the finish is a little bit sticky, so I can't imagine skipping powder with this one. But as I said, I wouldn't know cause I always use powder, no matter the foundation.

It does have SPF 20, but I don't really rely on that for protection. I just see it as a bit of extra help for my SPF 50. While we're at it, I'd like to say that this foundation works great with my SPF. I use the La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF which tends to pill a bit. However, this foundation doesn't seem to be bothered by the SPF and it still looks good. Just for reference, my L'Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear doesn't really mix well with the SPF, so that's something to note. That's why this is my foundation of choice for daily makeup.

That's pretty much all I have to say about this baby. I thoroughly enjoy wearing it and I am planning on going to the drugstore pronto and getting a new one. What about you, do you like the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation or are there other products that work best for you?
