Jovana Tomin

First off, I feel like I should apologize for the unannounced and unplanned hiatus that I took over the past two weeks. I just could not think of a single thing to talk about. But, I'm back now and hopefully it won't happen again. As I was removing my makeup last night, I thought it would be nice to do a post about the best makeup removers out there (that I've tried and loved) because that's something every makeup lover needs.
The first one is obviously the Garnier Micellar Water. I've tried the one in green packaging and the one in pink paskaging and I couldn't tell the difference. They both do a very good job at removing makeup - they leave your face feeling clean and fresh, they're not drying and they don't require a lot of time. Here's the review that I wrote of it.
Next, we have the Alverde one that I've already talked about in a post. It's a foam remover which you squirt into your hand and rub into your makeup-covered face. It will remove your makeup in seconds and will not burn your eyes. It's organic and vegan, which is also very important. So if you're looking for something quick and effective, give it a go.
Last, but not least we have coconut oil. I seem to be of the thought ''When in doubt, use coconut oil'' as I use it religiously for multiple purposes. When it comes to removing makeup with it, it works the same way as the Alverde one - you put it in your hand and spread all over your face. It dissolves your makeup really quickly and leaves your skin soft and moisturized. The only thing I find is that it kind of blurres my vision, but I'm fine with it.
And there you have it, folks, 3 affordable and easy-to-use makeup removers. Let me know what you think of these if you've tried them and I'll talk to you soon.

I don't know about you, but I love sunbathing and I've collected a few tips on making it more fun because we both know that it can be boring af. There are also a few tips on keeping it safe.
First things first, you'll wanna apply a sun cream with SPF all over your body because getting sunburnt is no fun, trust me. Once that's all done and dusted, you can set up the place where you'll be sunbathing. I sunbathe in my backyard, so I take two chairs and sprawl across them, but you can take whatever works for you. When your lounge is set up, it's time to bring the party out. Here are a few things I recommend taking with you:
1) A huge glass of water is an essential. You can spice it up with lots of ice, mint, lemon and orange slices. The key is to stay hydrated.

2) A good book never hurts, so choose a book to read while sweating in the sun. I'm currently reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. If you're not into books, magazines are also a good idea.
3) If you prefer electronic devices, take your phone, laptop or tablet with you. You can play some music, watch a movie or your favourite TV show.
4) Remember to bring your sunglasses with you or you can say goodbye to your eye sight (just like when you stare at my highlighter for too long).
5) Get a body mist and whenever you feel that you're getting a tad too hot, spritz it all over yourself - it has a very refreshing effect and it usually smells really pleasant.
6) If none of this sounds appealing to you, the last suggestion I've got for you is to call your friend(s) over and enjoy the sweat together.
There you have it - a few tips to make your sunbathing experience better. If you have any other ideas, pop them below in the comments. I'll talk to you Thursday!

Alright, are you ready to be introduced to my latest obsession? You better be.
NYX have been killing it recently with their products, and I've been especially obsessed with their lipsticks. I need to win the lottery and buy all of their Lip Lingeries and Liquid Satins, no joke.
The Liquid Satin that I actually own is the one in the shade Sandstorm, and, boy, is it gorgeous! However, I'm not here to talk about the colour, but the formula. This line carries 24 shades of cream lipsticks. They dry matte, but they aren't like your typical liquid lipstick which dry out your lips and make them feel kind of gross. These lipsticks, even though they are matte, feel really creamy on the lips (obviously) and don't make them feel dry or crusty. You will be able to feel it on the lips when you press them together, but it isn't uncomfortable. I actually sort of like that feeling because it kind of feels moisturizing to me. As for the longevity, I feel like they do stay on for quite some time, but if you have lots to drink or decide to eat something, you'll probably find that you need to reapply it. However, when you do reapply it, it doesn't go weird on the lips. I personally don't mind having to reapply it as I have to do so with most of the lipstick that I own. To make it last longer, you can apply a lip liner first and blot your lips and then add some powder on top. It might sound like a lot of work, but it's actually pretty simple and not too time consuming, just an extra step to your makeup.
All in all, I would highly recommend these lipsticks as the shades are beautiful, they're matte which seems to be the biggest trend at the moment and they are very good quality. I would love to buy some more shades as I am in love with the one that I own. Next on my list of things that I am dying to try is the NYX Lip Lingeries, let me know what you think about them if you're tried them.

So summer has approached us and I still haven't made a playlist. You needn't worry, here it comes. I'll try to resist including the whole Dangerous Woman album.

1. Ariana Grande - Side to Side
2. DNSC - Cake By The Ocean
3. Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna - This Is What You Came For
4. Zara Larsson - Lush Life
5. The 1975 - The Sound
6. Beyonce - Daddy Lessons
7. Nick Jonas - Chains
8. Ariana Grande - Into You
9. Rihanna - Needed Me
10. Ariana Grande - Let Me Love You

This is a super short one mainly because I have only been listening to Ariana ever since the album came out. I'm not officially going to include these songs just so that I don't overdo it, but a few other songs off of Dangerous Woman that I would recommend are: Greedy, Leave Me Lonely, Bad Decisions, Sometimes, Thinking Bout You and Everyday. I'm sure I'll make another playlist once I start branching out, don't worry.
P.S. This might be the first playlist with no One Direction songs in it. Shocker!

This might sound a bit crazy, but trust me it works. If you want your brows to appear thicker, all you need is a spoolie brush and some soap. I won't take all the credit, though, I was inspired by Pixiwoo who did a video on how to get fuller looking brows when you don't have a lot of brow hairs. I personally do have quite a lot of hairs and they are not too sparse at the moment, but I decided to try this trick out.
Basically, all that you wanna do is get your spoolie wet and rub some soap on it. Then, you are supposed to comb your brows with your soapy spoolie. Make sure not to get soap on your skin and if you notice any soap lumps, try and get rid of them by brushing them out. Once you've soaped your brows, you're ready to fill them in. You'll find that you don't need to use too much product and you shouldn't because the point of this trick is to get your brows to look naturally full.
To see this in use, got to Pixiwoo's YouTube channel and check out the video and let me know how this works out for you if you try it.

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a nice summer day. I am here today to share with you my thoughts on the NYX Shine Killer primer as you can tell from the title.

I bought this primer for prom because, as you can imagine, I wanted my face makeup to stay in place for the longest time possible. Now, given that on prom day there was about a million degrees and everyone was sweaty and gross, it was a good test for the primer, but also a bit unrealistic. Of course, that was not the only time that I used it.

The primer is clear and has a gel consistency. I apply less than a pea size amount on my entire face, focusing it mostly on my T-zone and rubbing it in real good. It leaves the skin really silky smooth and super soft, which makes the foundation application much easier as it just glides on smoothly.
As for the longevity, I do find that it makes the foundation last better than when it's just applied on its own.  On the other hand, though, I haven't really noticed that it kills shine, so I like to bring blotting sheets if I wanna stay shine-free. It doesn't completely let the shine through, but it also doesn't keep it off of the face entirely.
All in all, I would recommend this primer if you want your foundation to go on nicely and stay on longer, but if you're looking for something mattifying, maybe go for another one.

Let's see if I've totally forgotten how this works...
Hello! I've been absent for a few weeks due to the biggest exam of my entire life being three days ago. I'd been preparing like crazy and fully focusing my concentration on that instead of blogging. However, that is over now and since I smashed the exam, I can get back to being active on here. I've already got a few posts planned, so don't you worry. I've got a few reviews up my sleeve and I can now think of a few makeup tutorials. Also, I got a new phone (Sony Xperia M5) and the camera is literally better quality than my entire life, so hopefully the photos on here will be much better.
My summer break has officially started and I hope that yours has too. I can now fully commit to listening to Ariana Grande, hanging out with my friends and wasting time online.
If anyone still has exams, good luck! That's all I've got to say for now, I'll talk to you on Sunday!

P.S. Sorry but there won't be any recommendations for the month of June as I haven't really done much else apart from studying.
