It's the end of the festive season and the coldest month of them all (probably not in like Australia) which means it's time for me to do my recommendin'.
○January TV Show: Broadchurch
I'm not gonna lie, I have only Zoella to thank for this discovery because she mentioned it in her last year's vlogmas which led to me instantly downloading the whole series. I was absolutely obsessed with it as soon as I started watching it, so the fact that season 2 has started this month makes me extremely happy.
The genre of the show is drama & crime. The plot revolves around the murder of a young boy named Danny. Throughout the show, you find out a lot of background info about all the characters and you also get to suspect on everyone besides the actual killer. In the end of season 1 the killer is revealed, but that doesn't mean the drama is over because it continues in season 2. David Tennant plays the starring role of DI Hardy and I have to say that I AM IN LOVE WITH HIS ACCENT *inserts praise the Lord emoji*. As always, I don't want to give away too much, but I think I've covered the basics.

○January Movie: The Imitation Game
This is a relatively new movie and I'd been eager to watch it ever since I heard Benedict Cumberbatch has the starring role and is accompanied by Downton Abbey's Allen Leech. I finally got my hands on it about a week ago and was swept off my feet.
It's about a group of mathematicians, led by Alan Turing, in WWII trying to break the Enigma. The Enigma is a machine the Germans used to send out messages which were encrypted, of course. It is based on a real life story about Alan Turing and I think the character's psychology is amazingly captured. I don't think there's much more to say, to be honest. If you're a guy or a fan of Keira Knightley, her appearance in the movie might persuade you to watch it.

○January Book: Stephen Chbosky - The Perks of Being a Wallflower
In one of my blogmas posts I mentioned I wanted to reread this book and I did exactly that. It's one of my favourite books and the movie made based on it is one of my favourite movies. It follows the life of a sixteen-year-old boy called Charlie. Charlie is the said wallflower and he writes letters about his life to a friend. He's very shy and a bit awkward and I would say a bit damaged maybe. He's got a lot of ups and downs, mostly mental ones, and he describes all his struggles and general thoughts throughout the book. It's a drama intertwined with a bit of romance, and I think it's a book every teenager can relate to. If, however, you're not a fan of reading, I do recommend the movie as well as it's quite accurate and authentic to the book. I talked about this book before, though, so if you wanna read that, you can do so here.

○January App/Youtube Channel: Blogilates
If you know me, or anything about me, you will know that I am not a fan of working out and voluntary sweating. However, on of my goals for this year was to start working out and with a bit of help from Cassey Ho, I managed to do so. Throughout January I've been doing ab exercises from her 30 day flat abs challenge. Every day the amount of exercises goes up by one so that you can easily adjust to the change and not feel sore the next day. Her youtube channel is one I always go to when I am in the mood for working out because the exercises are amazing and her positive attitude keeps me going. For all of you who are like me and prefer to stay in bed rather than have physical activities, I think Blogilates might help.
○January Highstreet Store: Zara
Not a lot to say here except that I did some shopping this month and I spent most of my money in Zara. They are having loads of winter offers, so you can get a bunch of stuff for cheaper than usual. And their winter collection is absolutely stunning. That's it really.

Those are all of my recommendations for this month, hope you've enjoyed this post. Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Bloglovin' so you don't miss any blog posts. Lots of love!

Here I am, ever so ashamed that I missed the day I was supposed to write this. I could lie and say I was busy, but we all know that's not true. Truth is, I literally thought today was Thursday until I realised otherwise. As a peace offering I bring you 3 reviews in 1 blog post.
      1) NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
Yes, yes it is supposed to be green. As you may or may not know, green pigments counteract the redness on your face. It might seem mental using a green product, but that's why makeup's fun, right? Don't worry, I don't go outside with a green face, I always use this concealer underneath my foundation. Okay, now that's clear, I can tell you about the actual product.
As you can tell from yet another horrible swatch, it is really green, which means the pigmentation is good and it does the job. It covers spots and blemishes quite well and it lasts a long time. After you apply foundation on top of it, it doesn't look cakey nor does it make the foundation look green.
The texture is quite thick so it is a big harder to blend, but because I don't really use a lot of it - only on my spots and red areas, that's not a problem for me.
I think this concealer is a great investment for all of you who, like me, suffer with a bit of red skin. It's affordable, it does the work, has no parabens or talc and is fun to play with.

     2) NYX Glam Shadow in Boost
There's something you don't know about me and that's the fact that I'm in love with the L'Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadow. The gold one. Whenever I go to the drugstore, I like to take a few minutes to swatch it and admire the beauty. Well, my friends know that so they were kind enough to get me the NYX version of it. Thanks, guys!
The eyeshadow is a beautiful bronzy gold colour. It is very highly pigmented, which did come as a surprise to me as some NYX eyeshadows I have are not. It's really easy to blend and, if I do say so myself, it really complements my eye colour which is the weirdest shade of brown. I didn't notice the eyeshadow creasing, so I really think it's amazing quality. Affordable, beautiful and surprisingly good. Although I haven't yet worn it out, I just tried a few makeup looks with it, I do believe it would last a long time.
It's just so beautiful, I can't stop staring at it.

     3) NYX Dream Catcher Palette ○ Stormy Skies
The packaging of this is gorgeous & the name is really cute so we're off to a good start.
It comes with 10 different colours out of which 5 are matte and 5 are shimmery. It's very versatile so you can use it for an everyday look or for a more  dramatic evening look.
I haven't worn all of them, but I do think the pigmentation is very good. Not the best, but in comparison to other NYX eyeshadows it's amazing. I've been enjoying using it for creating an everyday brown smokey eye.
I found the shadows last about 6 hours before letting a bit of oil show. They are easy to blend and build to a certain extent. I didn't have a good experience with the black one, to be honest. I was hard to blend and went everywhere but the place I wanted it to go. That might be my bad technique as I don't ever use black eyeshadow, but it also might just be the eyeshadow itself. The purple one wasn't as pigmented as I was hoping it would be, but it is easy to work with. My faves are the second and fourth one in the top row, and the first and third in the bottom row.
The third one in the bottom row was a dream to work with and went amazingly with the Glam Shadow in Boost.
I would say out of all the NYX eyeshadow palettes I've tried so far, this one is by far the best one - colour wise, pigmentation wise and packaging wise. It's really fun trying out all the different looks you can get with this palette and finding out what works best. All in all, I think it's definitely worth a try.

Well, that would be it from me today. I also wanna quickly note that all of these were gifts for my birthday, so thanks to all the babes involved. I hope these reviews helped some of you and I'll talk to you next week. Preferably Thursday.

It's not as orange as it looks on the photo.

Due to technical difficulties i.e. my laptop dying I am writing this post late at night as quietly as possible because I'm using the family computer and trying not to wake anyone up. Now that's out of the way, I can begin with the actual post.
It's obvious that there BB creams are very popular and there's loads of different ones and it's also quite obvious that I'm very late to the bandwagon with this review. However, I've discovered my holy grail BB cream and though I should share it with you. Not that I've tried a lot of them, but let's call it my holy grail, okay?
Before I bought this product, naturally, I'd watched and read about billion reviews on it and decided it was right. First of all, there are only two colours, if I'm not wrong - light and medium. Of course, I went for the lighter one as I'm quite pale. It's not a perfect match, but it's really easy to blend out. I apply it with one of my eBay brushes and I always take it down on my neck as well as I want the colour to match. If you can get over the poor shade range, you'll be able to see all the good sides to this product. There's a certain scent to it which smells like cucumber to me, but it's not overpowering or sickly in any way. Not to me anyway.
Coverage wise, I wasn't really expecting too much given that it's a BB cream and not a foundation (obv), but I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by it. It's not full coverage, but I think it's safe to say it gives a medium coverage and a very nice natural finish. I always set it with a powder to make it last longer and not look as shiny, but it never goes cakey. What more could you ask for, eh?
I haven't really paid a lot of attention to the lasting power, but I feel like it could last all day if you powder a few times which I did not do. I think it lasted about 4-5 hours. Don't quote me on that one, though.
Last, but not least (even though it should've been the first thing) - the packaging. I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of it. It comes in a plastic tube, but the colour of it makes it looks very cheep and the part where the product comes out gets quite messy after using it a few times. There's 50ml in the tube which is 20ml more than most foundation which is amazing! Other than the dodgy packaging, I think it's a brilliant drugstore BB cream and I think you can't really go wrong with it.
It claims to hydrate skin, even out skin tone, reduce imperfections, mattify skin and cover redness. I'm not sure if it actually helps reduce blemishes, but it is definitely good at covering them. Also, I don't know if it mattifies as I prefer to set it with a powder for a more matte finish.
I am pretty sure that is all there is to say about this BB cream, but if you are interested in something else, feel free to ask. Hope I've helped some of you, talk to you soon!

Hey guys, happy New Year! I hope you've had a wonderful evening and an amazing Christmas as well. Most of the holidays are over so I'm really looking forward to Christmas to finish it all off because the crowd is just too much. Anyhow, even though it's 2015 and I am kicking it off with a review!
Long story short, I've kind of been lazy with my hair lately, but unfortunately I ran out of dry shampoo a couple of months ago. So, a week ago I decided enough was enough and I bought a new one. Previously I'd used Batiste Dry Shampoo for medium and brunette hair and although it did make my hair look clean it didn't feel so and it was a bit too powdery for my taste. This time I went for their Cool & Crisp Fresh one solely because of the smell.
I first used it on my 3rd day hair, I think, and it kept it looking clean for the two following days. It didn't feel too powdery like the one for medium and brunette hair and it left my hair smelling uh-mazing! It has a very nice finish in a way that hair looks like it's been washed, not as if you've just used dry shampoo. It also gives the hair quite a lot of volume. The only bad side to it in my opinion is the white residue it leaves, but you can easily brush through it with your hands or a brush and no one will be able to tell.
If you're looking for a quality drugstore dry shampoo that will feel fresh and clean, I highly recommend this one. It's really inexpensive, but does all the things it says on the label.
There you have it - a short review telling you basically all you need to know about this product. Hope it was helpful, talk to you soon.
