Jovana Tomin

I've wanted to write this post for a while, but procrastination got the best of me. Basically, I listed a few products that I continue to repurchase the second I run out of them. I can't imagine stopping using one of these. I guess you could call these my holy grail products. Here they are.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

There is absolutely no denying that this is the best mascara in the world. Maybelline just knows the secret mascara and that's obvious. I've tried many mascaras in my time, but none of them come close to the Maybelline Lash Sensational. When I use this mascara, I don't even need to curl my straight lashes beforehand! It's that good. I have found a technique that works well and my lashes always end up looking like falsies. It gives my eyelashes volume, length and curl and there's nothing more I could ask from a mascara. I have repurchased this product A LOT of times and I will continue to do so as long as it exists.

Mixa Hyalurogel Light

I've talked about this moisturizer a bunch of times already, sorry. It's just sooo good! This is my 5th or 6th time repurchasing this cream. It is light, pleasant, refreshing and moisturizing. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin or leave a thick layer. It might not work for dry skin, but there is a heavier version called Mixa Hyalurogel Rich. So, you can try that if you need serious moisturizing. I don't have anything bad to say about this product, it ticks all the boxes and my skin loves it. You can read more about this product in the review I wrote when I first started using it.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Concealer

This is one of my favorite concealers of all time and the concealer with the longest name of all time. It's lightweight, but it provides enough coverage. The shade is perfect for my skin tone and I can use it alone on good skin days. I love the finish that it has and how my skin looks after I apply this concealer. It's not full-coverage, but it still does the job well. It has a natural-looking finish and makes my skin look really fresh. This is another product I've already written a review on because I love it that much. Once again, well done Maybelline.

Garnier Micellar Water

This is a classic. Everyone and their mum have used this micellar water because it is affordable and it works really well. I use this product to remove my makeup at the end of the day. I've tried other micellar waters, but this one suits me best. It doesn't leave the skin feeling dry or stripped. It is gentle and just does what it's supposed to. Of course, after removing my makeup with this, I cleanse my skin with other products to make sure there is absolutely nothing left on it. So, if you're looking for a good micellar water and you somehow haven't tried this one, it's time to give it a whirl.

There are, of course, a more products that I absolutely adore, but these ones have a special place in my heart. Share your experiences with these below or tell me about your holy grails! We'll talk soon.

Here's a blog post I haven't done in ages because I haven't really had a proper routine to write about. Ever since I came back from Rome and started using the new products that I've gotten, I feel like my skin has been reborn.
The first thing that I do when I drag my butt into the bathroom is wash my face using the Avene Cleansing Gel. This is a travel size one that I got from my friend. It's very refreshing and every morning I'm excited to use it. However, I'll need to purchase a new one soon that's a little bit more affordable (recommendations are welcome!).
Then I move onto toning my face, which is also very refreshing. This particular tonic that I'm using is from OMIA and it's organic, which I think my skin really appreciates. It's very moisturising as well as refreshing and it almost feels like I don't need to moisturise my skin afterwards.
Once that is done, I go in with my new moisturiser. This one is from Garnier, it's got green tea in it and 96% of the ingredients are natural which, again, I think my skin is grateful for. It's very hydrating and it does take a bit more time for it to sink into the skin if you apply a lot of it. A little goes a long way.

The last step is something that I will skip from time to time, depending on the state of my skin. It's tea tree oil, of course! Once I've done all the necessary steps, I'll just treat my spots with this little gem. After that, I am done and ready for the day.

I've gone through a very rough patch with my skin during July and to see it get so much better now is literally the best feeling. I don't think my skin's been this good in a very long time, so I do have to thank my new skincare routine for it. I am hoping with all my heart that it will stay on the right track and it won't go back to looking like crap.

It's not as orange as it looks on the photo.

Due to technical difficulties i.e. my laptop dying I am writing this post late at night as quietly as possible because I'm using the family computer and trying not to wake anyone up. Now that's out of the way, I can begin with the actual post.
It's obvious that there BB creams are very popular and there's loads of different ones and it's also quite obvious that I'm very late to the bandwagon with this review. However, I've discovered my holy grail BB cream and though I should share it with you. Not that I've tried a lot of them, but let's call it my holy grail, okay?
Before I bought this product, naturally, I'd watched and read about billion reviews on it and decided it was right. First of all, there are only two colours, if I'm not wrong - light and medium. Of course, I went for the lighter one as I'm quite pale. It's not a perfect match, but it's really easy to blend out. I apply it with one of my eBay brushes and I always take it down on my neck as well as I want the colour to match. If you can get over the poor shade range, you'll be able to see all the good sides to this product. There's a certain scent to it which smells like cucumber to me, but it's not overpowering or sickly in any way. Not to me anyway.
Coverage wise, I wasn't really expecting too much given that it's a BB cream and not a foundation (obv), but I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by it. It's not full coverage, but I think it's safe to say it gives a medium coverage and a very nice natural finish. I always set it with a powder to make it last longer and not look as shiny, but it never goes cakey. What more could you ask for, eh?
I haven't really paid a lot of attention to the lasting power, but I feel like it could last all day if you powder a few times which I did not do. I think it lasted about 4-5 hours. Don't quote me on that one, though.
Last, but not least (even though it should've been the first thing) - the packaging. I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of it. It comes in a plastic tube, but the colour of it makes it looks very cheep and the part where the product comes out gets quite messy after using it a few times. There's 50ml in the tube which is 20ml more than most foundation which is amazing! Other than the dodgy packaging, I think it's a brilliant drugstore BB cream and I think you can't really go wrong with it.
It claims to hydrate skin, even out skin tone, reduce imperfections, mattify skin and cover redness. I'm not sure if it actually helps reduce blemishes, but it is definitely good at covering them. Also, I don't know if it mattifies as I prefer to set it with a powder for a more matte finish.
I am pretty sure that is all there is to say about this BB cream, but if you are interested in something else, feel free to ask. Hope I've helped some of you, talk to you soon!
