It feels so strange that February has gone by already, doesn't it? But at least it means that I can share these things with you. Without further ado, let's get into it.

○ February Movie: Love, Rosie
If you've read some of my previous blog posts, you'll know that Lily Collins is my queen, so it should be no surprise that I've been waiting for this movie to come out, with my popcorn ready, ever since they announced it.
This movie is definitely on the romantic side of things, but not the soppy kind. It's about a boy and a girl who have been best friends ever since they could remember. Obviously, one of them falls for the other, what else could happen? But they don't get to explore their options or either talk about their feelings because loads of outside factors and circumstances make the situation impossible to act on. I'm sure I've confused you now, but so will the movie. Spoiler alert: the boy (Alex) moves to America for college and the girl (Rosie) gets pregnant. Trust me, though, those are not the mere reasons of their not getting together. I think you should definitely watch the trailer to the movie, because it's gonna give you a better perception of things than I just did. The bottom line is that it's a cute kind of romantic movie, it's really unpredictable and different to the usual rom com.

○ February TV Show: How To Get Away With Murder
Truth be told, I am a bit late to the bandwagon with this show, but it doesn't matter because the 1st season is over and it is so good!
The show is categorised as a drama, crime and mystery. It's about a group of law students getting involved in a murder along with their teacher and they try to get away with it and move on with their lives. It is literally what the title says it is. Naturally, it isn't easy to do so and they end up getting into a bit of trouble in each episode. Along being law students, they also work for their teacher's law office. Eventually, we find out who the actual killer  is and how things went. Not much more to say really. Well, except that the last episode is mind blowing and it takes a few hours for it all to sink in.

○ February Album: Jaymes Young - Dark Star
Recently I've been really into the indie, alternative vibe when it comes to music so when I came across Jaymes Young I instantly downloaded his debut album. I discovered him through the TFiOS soundtrack, if anyone is interested (it's a collaboration with Birdy). His music is kind of nostalgic, chill and each song was my favourite when I first heard the album. I've incorporated his songs in my latest playlists as well. My fave song is probably either Dark Star, Northern Lights or Two More Minutes. Go check him out!

○ February App: Water Your Body
If you're like me and you keep forgetting to drink water even though it's right next to your bed, this app tends to help. It calculates how much water you should consume in a day based on your weight (and height maybe) and it reminds you that you should drink water throughout the day. You can set up the amount of times it notifies you and all you need to do it add the amount of water you've had in ml. It's definitely not a necessity, but it's fun and helpful.

That's it from me today, I will see you next Saturday, or possibly Thursday. We'll see. Bye!

This was a very spontaneous decision as I felt a bit stressed out and thought I should make a playlist of songs that calm me down. But then, what's the point of making a playlist if I don't share it with you guys? So if school, or work, or friends, or whatever else is frustrating you, here are some really chill songs for your brain.

1. The 1975 - Fallingforyou
2. The Neighbourhood - Afraid
3. The Weeknd - High for This
4. FKA Twigs - Two Weeks
5. Frank Ocean - Sweet Life
6. Lorde - Ribs
7. Tom Odell - Sense
8. Sam Smith - Life Support
9. Jaymes Young - Fragments
10. Disclosure ft. London Grammar - Help Me Lose My Mind
11. Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You
12. Angus & Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane
13. James Newton Howard ft. Jennifer Lawrence - The Hanging Tree
14. Marian Hill - One Time

I seriously need to stop swatching things.
To be honest I totally forgot about the schedule change and freaked out when I realised I had nothing to post on Thursday. Then I obviously reminded myself that I don't need anything for Thursday, so I calmed down. After reading this unnecessary intro, hope you're ready for the real deal.
Recently I've noticed my skin's been a bit dull so I was on a hunt for a highlighter, but didn't really find anything in the drugstore that I liked. So then I got creative. I've toyed around with the idea of using a Maybelline Baby Lips (the shade being Peach Kiss) lip balm, which I hadn't really used to much on my lips, as an alternative to a highlighter.
At first, I tried it on my Cupid's bow and it hit me - I don't need to buy a highlighter, I already have one! A few days ago I committed to my discovery and used it on the rest of my face (meaning: on my cheekbones, chin and down the bridge of my nose). I don't know if you can quite tell the effect it gives from the swatched I included (sorry about that), but it leaves the nicest subtle sheen and catches the light beautifully. I'm not too sure about the longevity as I've only used it in the afternoon so after a few hours of wearing it it's already dark and there's no light for it to reflect. You can apply it straight from the bullet or with a brush if that's what you prefer - it works both ways.
I really recommend trying it out because why the hell not? It's inexpensive and if you end up hating it on your face, you can use it on your lips. Or vice versa I guess in my case. It's a nice little 2 in 1 and I think you can't go wrong.
I think the Baby Lips in the shade Cherry Me could be used as a nice subtle blush, but that's a whole different blog post.
That's it from me this week. I'll talk to you soon!

It is Wednesday night and after I've watched way too many episodes of Suits, panicked about the shortage of time left for me to write this and procrastinated some more over on tumblr, I thought it was about time I actually contribute something to the community of blogs. That was a long sentence, I apologise.
However, before I start I need to make an announcement. I tweeted about this, but I'm making it official: because I've got school in the afternoon this year, juggling homework and studying with writing posts is becoming sort of impossible so I'm changing my schedule a bit - from now on, expect posts on Saturdays at 2pm Central European Time.
As for this blog post, I though it's be fun to pay some attention to my favourite quotes so here's a potential new series. Congrats if you've read all of this, enjoy the rest!
,,The problem with things is that everyone is always comparing everyone with everyone and because of that, it discredits people'', Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I've been going on and on about this book and it was about time to share a thought or two about my favourite quote. Remember, I am not analyzing the quote or the book, I'm simply sharing my opinion and the reason I relate to it.
In today's society it can be really difficult to do anything without getting judged for it. Whether it's the way you dress, think, talk or what you look like - you're never good enough. It's no secret that there are certain ideals being introduced to us via social media that we let determine our worth. Having a thigh gap, perfect skin, amazing brows and a flat stomach is all the hype everywhere, and I'm sure the majority of us have wished for some of those at least once. I'm guilty as charged. But when it gets to a point that you start hating yourself for not having the perfect body or a seemingly perfect life - it needs to stop. Let's be honest, you're never gonna be 100% satisfied with the way you look or all the things going on in your life so, just because you think someone else has it better, you need to remember that they probably don't think so. Comparison shouldn't be a thing, and I think as we get older we get a bit more aware of it. If you really want something you have to work hard in order to get it, you just need to forget what others want you to do and focus on yourself. It's your life in the end, right? So just because you don't look like a famous model/singer/actress does not mean you are not good enough. I myself am still learning to stop comparing myself to others, and it's not as easy as it sounds, but it is probably possible after some time. The bottom line is, we're all trying to figure out what we're doing with our lives, we all have flaws which, if we could, we would change in a heart beat and we all have bad days; and so what? My advice is to just mind your own business and let others be, why should you care what they look like or do with their lives?

This was a weird one to write for some reason, so I hope you don't consider it cheesy or what not. It's a bit out of my comfort zone, I would say, as I've never really shared explanations of my favourite quotes with people. I guess it's safe to say it went well. I'm still not sure if this is gonna end up being a series or a single blog post - it depends on the feedback, but my personal jugdment on it as well. Now I'm off to watch some more Suits, talk to you next Saturday.

It seems I haven't done a playlist in a while, not this year anyway, so I decided to make one now as I've got quite a few new songs to share. I don't know how many songs it'll contain, we'll have to wait and see. *WARNING* There will be a lot of The 1975 and Jaymes Young probably, don't judge.
1. The 1975 - Robbers
2. Rihanna, Kanye West, Paul McCartney - Four Five Seconds
3. Mapei - Don't Wait
4. Hozier - Take Me To Church
5. Jaymes Young - Two More Minutes
6. The 1975 - She Way Out
7. Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do
8. Milky Chance - Flashed Junk Mind
9. Sam Smith - I'm Not The Only One
10. Jaymes Young - Dark Star
11. 5 Seconds of Summer - Bad Dreams
12. One Direction - Change Your Ticket
13. The Neighborhood - Flawless
14. Daughter - Landfill
15. Kendrick Lamar - Swimming Pools (Drank)
16. London Grammar - Strong
17. One Direction - Stockholm Syndrome
18. Darren Flynn - Skinny Love (Bon Iver Cover)
19. One Direction - Where Do Broken Hearts Go
20. Jaymes Young - Habits Of My Heart
21. Jessie J - Masterpiece
22. The Neighborhood - Say My Name / Cry Me a River
23. Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk
24. The 1975 - Fallingforyou
25. 5 Seconds of Summer - Mrs All American
26. The Neighbothood ft. French Montana - #icanteven
27. The 1975 - Me
28. Jaymes Young - Northern Lights
29. Ima Robot - Greenback Boogie (of you know what I'm on about)
30. The 1975 - Antichrist
There you have it - songs I've been enjoying listening to recently. I've realised I need to either go The 1975 rehabilitation program or make another playlist of my fave songs by them a.k.a list all of their songs. I also made a playlist on 8tracks containing all of these, so you can check it out here (it wasn't easy so pls give it a listen). Although I couldn't include Antichrist, Me and Fallingforyou due to the 8tracks policy which annoyed the crap outta me. Enjoy!
