music to listen to in quarantine

The world seems to be falling apart and we're all looking for some joy in this crazy time. There's no need to worry, I've got you covered. I know I haven't written here in a while, but I'm back and I'm recommending some music to you. I'll tell you about some albums that you could listen to in quarantine. Whether you're looking for something more up-tempo or some more vibey, chill songs, I've got your back. I hope this music will make your isolation time a little more fun and a little less depressing. Enjoy!

Kali Uchis - Isolation

First of all, can we just acknowledge how fitting the title of this album is in this situation? In case you're wondering, no, that's not why I'm recommending this album. I've been absolutely obsessed with all the songs on this album for months now. Whatever kind of mood I'm in, this album seems to be fitting.

Isolation is a mixture of upbeat songs and slower tunes. However, all the songs have a really great vibe, they make me dance, tune everything out and just focus on the music. I absolutely love the feeling this album gives me. I would say that the album is mostly compiled of chill songs, but even they will make you sway. I love the lyrics of all the songs and that makes me appreciate the album so much more.
My fave songs from this album are: Miami, Tomorrow, In My Dreams and Coming Home.

Mac Miller - Circles

If you're feeling down because of the situation in the world or if you're in the mood for some slower, chill tunes, this is the one for you. I am obsessed with this album and I feel kind of bad that I just discovered Mac Miller's music now. Better late than ever, though.
When Good News came out, I knew that this album would be a smash hit. And I was right. I've been listening to this album almost every day since it came out because it's just that good.

Once again, I adore the lyrics of the songs and that contributes to my love for them. The vibe of the album is, once again, pretty chill but this time it's more of an RnB, rap record. It's the perfect background music or music that you listen to when you're just relaxing and maybe pampering yourself.
The songs that I love most are: Complicated, Good News, Everybody, Blue World, Hand Me Downs and Surf. It's really difficult to choose favorites as I love all the songs so, so much.

Niall Horan - Heartbreak Weather

In case you just want to forget all about coronavirus and the panic that's all around you and to just have some fun, this one is for you. Niall has just released his second album and it's an interesting one.

Pretty much all the songs on Heartbreak Weather are upbeat and seemingly happy. However, when you focus on the lyrics, you realize that they aren't so happy after all. As the title suggests, this is an album that focuses on the different stages you go through after a breakup. That's why the lyrics of some songs are pretty sad, maybe even heartbreaking, but it's all masked by the upbeat melodies. If you're a lover of pop music, you'll love this record.
So, whether you're going through a breakup and you're looking for songs to relate to or you just want to listen to some high-tempo music, Niall's got you covered. My favorite songs on Heartbreak Weather are: Heartbreak Weather, Put a Little Love On Me, Small Talk and Dear Patience.

Queen and David Bowie

Last, but certainly not least, it's time to take it back to the classics. Recently, I've been listening a lot to both Queen and David Bowie and I've been loving it. There's no denying that their songs are incredible and their music is for sure a mood-lifter. So, if you're running out of artists to listen to, there's nothing wrong with going back to the oldies.

I hope you'll enjoy listening to these great tunes and that you're safe and sound during this weird time. If you want to check out my other music recommendations, you can just click hereTry to make the best of a bad situation and find a way to have fun at home. Stay safe!
