March Movie Recommendations | 2016

by - 14:05

This month I haven't really been too experimental, so I don't have lots of recommendations. However, I have watched quite a few movies, so I thought I'd dedicate this month's recommendations to those.
Trainwreck (2015)
If you're a fan of Amy Schumer's, you will love this movie because she wrote it. Same goes for John Cena fans (he didn't write it, he's just hilarious to watch). You may or may not know that Amy Schumer is a stand up comedian who you should definitely look up. The movie is somewhat autobiographical . All in all it's a drama and romance, but with lots of comedic elements. It's not your typical rom-com, it's a bit more realistic than that. It's about a girl who's not completely one with her emotions and doesn't really care for love and relationships and how she gradually changes when she meets a man she falls for. It sounds much cheesier than it is, I swear. Give it a try if you're into movies that are more relatable than most Hollywood ones. Maybe you'd like to get to know Amy's stand up comedy before watching the movie, just to know what to expect.
Mr Popper's Penguins (2011)
This one is for all the Jim Carrey fans out there. It's about a very business oriented man who lives alone due to being divorced. He constantly forgets about family occasions and disappoints his kids. After his father's death, he receives a package he'd sent him and his life takes a massive turn. Judging by the title, you can probably guess what the package is...
Like most Jim Carrey movies, this one is also hilarious and super cute because of the penguins. It's also a nice family film, if you're into those. I recommend it if you wanna have a good time.
Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
I'm sure most of you have at least heard of this movie because it is a classic. It's about a girl that considers herself a wild spirit (Audrey Hepburn) and a guy that's much more stable who falls for her. She's kind of quirky and mysterious, some would call her a manic pixie dream girl I guess, she doesn't wanna belong to anyone or have anything belong to her - she's kind of lost trying to find herself. It's from the 60s so the fashion is impeccable and everything is so classy and elegant. For me, it's a real feel-good movie, so go watch it if you haven't.

Those are all the movies I've picked out for you, maybe I'll do more of these kind of recommendations in the future. If you're looking for a music recommendation, all I have to say is Zayn - Mind of Mine. Until next time, goodbye.
