Jovana Tomin

This baby has been on my wishlist for ages and it probably wouldn't have come into my collection hadn't my sister treated me to it, so I guess this post is sponsored by her. I was very curious to find out if this foundation was worth the hype, and if you continue reading, you'll see what my opinion on it is.
First of all, I think that the colour is a pretty good match. Unlike most of my previous foundations, it isn't too pink yet it is still fair and matches my skin colour. I feel like my face has a pink undertone, but my body has more of a yellow one (if that is even possible), so this time I decided to go for something that will match my neck better. I think it's safe to say I didn't regret it.
I'd heard amazing things about this foundation, it's longevity and great coverage so I needed to put it to a test. The formula is a little thick, but it is not difficult to blend at all. I apply it with the help of a beauty blender (a knockoff ofc) and it works like a dream. If some days one layer isn't enough to cover my redness and acne scars, I'll just apply some more onto those problematic areas. I am very pleased to say that it doesn't go cakey when you layer it. Also, I feel like for an every day makeup, you could get away with not wearing concealer. I've got pretty prominent and persistent under-eye bags, but they don't look too bad underneath this foundation. So, the coverage is definitely my cup of tea.
As for the lasting power, I think it's actually pretty amazing. You know when you come home after a night out, look at yourself in the mirror and can't believe that's what your face actually looked like in public? Well, let me tell you:
with this foundation I haven't thought that once. Quite on the contrary: I get home, see myself in the mirror and don't want to take my makeup off because I still look so good. After a 7 hour day I did notice that my nose area got a little oily, but it was nothing to write home about. It was very mild oiliness considering that my skin tends to get quite oily, and some powder would've fixed it right away. I have to say, I was (and still am) impressed.
I would definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who likes medium to high coverage and who needs their foundation to stay in place all day/night long. I think it's worth the hype for sure and I'm very very glad that I finally own this gem.

This is the best I could get out of the lighting in my room so I hope it's good enough. I don't think it does the foundation justice, though.

I don't know about you, but I have got the worst under-eye bags no matter how much sleep I get. I think I got them from my dad, and there's not much I can do about it. I've been on the hunt for an eye cream that would help me out a little bit, and when my friend raved about this affordable, but very luxurious looking gem from Revuele, I instantly got my hands on it.
I think the promises this cream makes are a little bit too ambitious (kind of like me) as it claims to make a difference after the first use. I'm not gonna lie, though, I am that person who believes those kind of claims because I want them to be true. Even though I personally haven't noticed a difference in the appearance of my under-eyes after the first use, I did really like this cream from day one.
I like the way it feels - it's refreshing and moisturising, but not heavy or thick. It's a nice lightweight, soothing formula that feels really nice on the skin. This is the kind of product that I actually look forward to using every day. My under-eye area and my lids were a little dry, so I struggled with concealer and eyeshadow for a bit, but this product has fixed that issue. I can't say for sure if it has helped the darkness around my eyes, but it has helped the texture, which is also a nice improvement. Looking myself in the mirror, I wanna say that my under-eyes do look brighter, but I don't wanna make a false statement that might be a result of the placebo effect, so I'll leave that judgement up to you if you decide to try this cream out.
If you want a cream that will freshen up your eyes in the morning and after a long day, and that will make that area nice and smooth, give this baby a go.

Well, happy New Year everybody! Let's hope 2018 treats us all well.
I've been the worst blogger ever these past two months and I will try my best to stop this little hiatus I've taken. I've been preparing exams, moving out of my apartment and into the student dorm and sorting my life out. Alongside all that, I've felt pretty uninspired, but I'm hoping that will all change in the new year and I'll get back on track with posting once a week.
Today I thought I'd chat a little about some things I'd like to do in 2018. I'm not calling them resolutions because those never work out. These are simply some ideas and goals that I've compiled.

1) Walk more and get out of the house more! I am someone who can easily not get outside for days and just spend all my time in my room, more specifically in my bed. Well, that is not good for my body or for my mind. So I've made it my mission to leave my house every day and at least take a walk to the grocery store and climb some stairs.
2) Refrain from making negative comments. I consider myself a realist, but I think that can get just as annoying as being a pessimist. I think I need to stop pointing out faults and the negative sides of things because that brings everybody down, including myself. So, I'll try and keep those to myself and not rain on everyone's parade.
3) Journal more. I absolutely love writing and I especially enjoy writing my feelings and thoughts down. I'm not a fan of talking about my feels, so writing them down is my kind of therapy. Even though I enjoy it very much and I love reading through the stuff that I've written from time to time, I seem to have stopped doing it as much. I think about doing it and then I don't because something always gets in the way. Well, that needs to stop. I really want to dedicate a bit more of my time to reflecting and paying attention to myself.
4) I think something I really need to start doing is speaking out my mind more and standing up for myself. I think this is a pretty obvious one because it's something everyone should do. We shouldn't care about what others will think and we should say what we're thinking, say if we don't agree and just say whatever it is we want to say.
5) Read more - an annual one, but also read the news more often. I think it's time I start being informed about what's going on in the world even though it's usually not the prettiest picture. Ignorance is bliss at this day and age, but it makes me feel a bit stupid not knowing what's going on around me and, luckily, there's a simple way to fix that.
6) Become better and more comfortable with people. This is something that I'm working on daily and I'm hoping that soon I'll overcome my awkwardness and/or shyness and be able to feel at ease with people.

There, those are some of the things I'm hoping to better myself at this year and, hopefully this year I'll actually manage to come through with them. So, drink more water, drink your green tea, get enough sleep and write some of your goals in the comments.
