I've recently remembered the time of discovering a million songs and artists on 8tracks and I thought it would be fun to compile some of my favourite songs from that time into a playlist. I hope you'll enjoy it just like I've enjoyed this reminiscing experience.

5. Wet - You're The Best
6.
Andrew Belle - In My Veins
7. The Lumineers - Stubborn Love
8. Ron Pope - A Drop In The Ocean
9. Daughter - Youth
10. The 1975 - Sex (I actually discovered The 1975 on 8tracks and feel in love with them, starting with this song)
11. City and Colour - The Girl
12. Mapei - Don't Wait
13. Disclosure ft. London Grammar - Help Me Lose My Mind
14. SG Lewis - Warm
15. Zee Avi - Concrete Wall

I've been using my NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder for 3 years (wow) and it finally decided that it was time to say goodbye. I stumbled upon this little gem when I was in Rome and it reminded me of the NYX one, but with one extra shade so I just couldn't leave it in the store.
Basically, my love for the NYX powder stems from the fact that it contains the clear brow wax. Well, this Makeup Revolution one also has the wax and that's what sold me, but it also has 3 powder shades. I got the one in Bold is best, which is possibly a little too dark for me, but I make it work.

The powders are pretty pigmented and they do a good job at filling in the brows and outlining them. However, if you dip your brush in the wax bit first and then in the powder of choice, your brows will literally look perfect. I love the wax so much I would literally buy it separately if I could. Unfortunately, the wax does run out sooner than the powders do, so at some point you're left with just regular old powders. I definitely think you don't need a lot of wax to make your brows on point, so you can use it sparingly.
The wax is, however, a little more slippery than the NYX one, so sometimes you have to pat the powder on top of it instead of dragging it along. For me personally, that's not a problem, I'm happy to cooperate with it.
I really like that in this palette you get 3 shades so you can do loads of different combinations and looks depending on your mood. I also like that you get a little brush that's actually usable and a small pair of tweezers so it's perfect for brows on the go. The palette also has a mirror inside, so you're basically all set to do your makeup wherever you are. I think maybe a small spoolie is a better idea than tweezers cause I don't really pluck my brows all too often, so I just put the spoolie from the NYX palette.
So in conclusion, I highly recommend this product and encourage everyone to buy it to get perfect looking brows. You're welcome.

Hey, here's another playlist. This one contains some of the songs that I've discovered and liked recently. You're lucky I'm doing this before Niall's album is released, otherwise it would literally just be his tracklist. Enjoy!
1. Niall Horan - Too Much to Ask (newly discovered cause it just came out lol)
2. Angus & Julia Stone - Snow
3. LANY - So Far
4. Dua Lipa - Blow Your Mind (Mwah)
5. Camila Cabello ft. Young Thug - Havana
6. Harry Styles - The Chain (Fleetwood Mac cover)
7. Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back
8. Dua Lipa - New Rules (I'm a little obsessed with her atm)
9. Childish Gambino - Redbone
10. Charli XCX - Boys
11. Portugal ft. The Man - Feel It Still
12. Selena Gomez ft. Gucci Mane - Fetish (I really didn't like this one at first, but it grew on me, whoops. How weird is the video, though??)
13. Astrid S - Such A Boy (yes, I discovered this because the guy from SKAM is in it)
14. Harry Styles - Wild Thoughts (cover)
15. Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, Big Sean, Pharrell Williams - Feels

I've mentioned this product in my Rome Haul and I promised a review, so here it is. I've been using it for about a month and I have my verdict.
I would say the coverage is light to medium, but buildable if you really need it. You can for sure go for a bit of a more natural look, especially if you apply it with a beauty blender. I've been applying it with a brush recently to get a bit more coverage and waste less product. If you want full coverage, you'll have to use quite a lot of it.
It blends very nicely and I haven't found it cakey whatsoever, but if you do, I think a beauty blender should fix that. It hasn't clung to any little dry patches. I like the way it makes the skin look - very even and healthy and not like you're wearing a mask. I think it's a good day time foundation or just one to use for more natural looks. If you're having a good skin day, or you're one of those lucky people whose skin is always clear - this one should work for you for sure.
The formula isn't too thick and the finish is not unnaturally matte, it looks like 'your skin but better'.
The staying power isn't to my taste, but I try to fix that with powder and a setting spray. I mean, it can last all night long, but you will get oily for sure. For a foundation that has matte in the name, that's a little bit disappointing in my eyes. I guess it's just one of those that require you to carry blotting sheets or powder in your bag. Oh well.
All in all, I think it's a decent foundation, especially for lighter looks and for good skin days. I wouldn't depend on it if I were going to a wedding or a similar kind of long lasting event, but maybe I'm just too oily for its powers. I've been liking it in this transitional period where my tan has been fading slowly and especially when my skin hasn't been acting up too often. It is a nice alternative for my full coverage L'Oreal Infallible 24h Matte one, definitely. If I really need extra coverage, I'll either add a bit of that L'Oreal foundation or some concealer to help this one out.

I don't have enough recommendations to put in one post, so I'll be doing them separately when I stumble upon something good. Today, it's some TV shows.
So, over the weekend I've taken a bit of a break from studying and let myself binge some shows. The first one was The Bold Type. It was a really fun watch - a show about three girls working at a fashion magazine. It deals with their personal problems as well as work related ones. It's kind of like a chick flick turned into a TV show, so if that sounds appealing to you, go ahead and watch it. I quite enjoyed it cause it was light and fun.
The other one is not as light, but it's even better than the first one. If you follow me on Twitter, you'll have seen my tweets about Big Little Lies. I know, I know, I'm late to the party, but if you're reading this, so are you. First of all, the cast is amazing as you can tell from the photo above. We all know actors are what either makes or breaks the show, and actors here are incredible. The way it's filmed or produced, I guess, is very interesting and it really builds up the tension because there are a lot of flashbacks and scenes from the future and they are all interspersed. The storyline is very gripping and it deals with lots of serious subjects. There's some of violence (verbal and physical) in the show, so that's something to keep in mind. Because it deals with bullying, violence and in general troubled relationships, it is a little bit more weighty, but that's what makes it so interesting. It's a mini series so there are only 7 episodes so far, but I'm eagerly waiting for season 2. However, at the moment it's very binge-friendly. Spoiler alert: you'll love the ending!

I'm currently studying, but whilst doing so I realized that I haven't done monthly recommendations in a while cause I don't really have a lot to talk about, but I do have a new music obsession. I thought I'd just quickly share it with you.
As you can see from the photo, it's Dua Lipa's album. I discovered her after I heard Niall's cover of Scared to Be Lonely (amazing!) and then I slowly but surely got very into her music. I really like the vibe of the album - it's very up beat and I would say it feels very powerful. She's got some sick lyrics and I'm just becoming a huge fan overall. She kind of reminds me of Halsey sometimes, to be honest, so Halsey fans - you might like her too.
Anyhow, give her a listen and I'm going back to studying now.
