Travel Backpack/Bag Essentials

I am currently trying to figure out what to pack for my upcoming trip, so I thought it'd be nice if I shared my ideas with you. These are some of the items I think are really important for traveling. Obviously a lot of these depend on how long your trip is, where you're going and whether you're going to your accommodation straight from the vehicle or not. Here's what I'm going to pack, excluding my passport and phone.
○ phone charger
○ earphones
○ cleansing/wet wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer
○ a fun read (I'm currently rereading Looking for Alaska)
○ a bottle of water
○ a little snack
○ a notepad and a pen (it can always come to use)
○ bobby pins and hair ties
○ deodorant, very glamorous, I know
○ chapstick
○ nail file, something like that is always needed
○ something like an aspirin
○ wallet
○ makeup items you need to touchup your look or use by the end of the trip
(powder, lipstick, mascara, etc.)
○ toothbrush can also be very useful, or at least chewing gum
○ layered clothes - something you don't necessarily pack, but is essential
○ a hand/eye/face cream if you're on a long trip, especially if you're traveling by plane
○ sunglasses
