Things I'm Looking Forward To This Winter | Blogmas Day 14
Just like every other season, winter has its ups and downs, but I decided to look at all the ups for this blog post and put them in words. Let's give the cold some love! Here are some of the things I like about winter.
▸ Cosy sweaters and blankets make a return and become socially acceptable.
▸ Laying in bed all day long with a duvet wrapped around you like a tortilla is okay.
▸ You have an excuse to light all the candles you've got - to warm the room up.
▸ Being inside and looking at the cold outside your window.
▸ It's time to start watching Christmas movies!
▸ It's also time to start decorating for Christmas!
▸ It's all about staying warm and layering clothes.
▸ You don't have to get out as much.
▸ The heat from the laptop is much more welcome.
▸ Winter break!
▸ Which means there's time to chill and read books.
▸ And watch all the TV shows out there.
▸ Everything is festive and cute.
▸ Including your house.
▸ Beanies come back.
▸ So do scarves and gloves.
▸ Dark nail polishes are on trend.
▸ As are dark lipsticks.
▸ Looking at snow falling through the window of your warm room.
▸ Some TV shows release Christmas specials! (Pretty Little Liars and Downton Abbey for an example)
▸ You can fill awkward silences with complaints about the cold.
▸ You can avoid talking with the excuse that it's too cold.
▸ Micheal Buble!
▸ No need to use blush as your cheeks are gonna be red from the cold.
▸ My birthday!
▸ You also have an excuse to sleep with socks on without being made fun of.
▸ New Year's Eve party might be fun.
▸ All the Christmas giveaways (which I never win).
▸ Watching Vlogmas.
▸ Reading Blogmas.
So, if you can forget the freezing and the humidity ruining your hair & makeup, those are some things you can look forward to. Why not turn that frown upside down? Talk to you tomorrow!
