Drop what you're doing and go watch Peaky Blinders.
Now, I know I'm late to the game, but I've just finished watching Peaky Blinders and I am sooo glad that I finally decided to give it a go. It's easily become one of my top 5 TV shows and I am impatiently waiting for the next season. There is no doubt about it - this is one of the best shows I've ever watched. And I don't just mean the storyline - I'm talking about all the little details that make a show incredible. From the cast and their impeccable acting to the iconic haircuts, amazing costumes, a great soundtrack, the scenography, production... everything about this show is, dear I say it, perfect.
In case you haven't already heard someone raving about this show, you're about to. This is a show that centers around the Shelby family and the gang called Peaky Blinders, who are illegal bookmakers. The story takes place in Birmingham just after WWI. We see a lot of brutality that goes around in the city, as well as a lot of men with PTSD after the war. Of course, Peaky Blinders are the center of the show and we see how much influence and power they have in their environment. PSA: there's quite a bit of violence, fighting and death, so brace yourself.
The characters are very complex and layered. There's really a lot to find out about each character to get the full picture. Because it's a gangster TV show, it's bound to have a bunch of bad guys in it. However, you can't help but feel for them and even support the main characters who are far from perfect. Tommy Shelby is probably the best example of an antihero who you will inevitably end up falling in love with (it helps that he's absolutely gorgeous). As the episodes go on, you get to see many different sides of all the characters and you truly begin to understand them and have empathy for them.
The set is very dark, gloomy, industrial with a lot of black and grey tones. I think it's that scenography that really sets the tone of the show and gives it a very unique look and appeal. Also, the soundtrack of this show is incredible and it really is an element I appreciated very much. I think the theme song is just so powerful, but you'll see for yourself.
The show is very, very exciting and intense with a lot of plot twists and surprising revelations. I swear while watching a few of the episodes I thought my heart would jump out of my chest. It's very rare that I devote 100% of my attention to what I'm watching and don't look at my phone at all while watching the show. However, Peaky Blinders had my full attention. I would silence my phone and focus on soaking in every last detail of the show.
Peaky Blinders is definitely not like any other show I've ever watched. Everything about it is very unique. From the story to the characters, the set, the costumes - every detail is very well thought out and executed and it truly stands apart from other TV shows.
So, it's pretty easy to see how this show managed to get into my top favorite shows so quickly. I've been praising it to everyone around me and I hope that my going on and on about it in this post will convince someone that it's worth watching. If you do decide to give it a watch, enjoy and let me know what you think. After all, you're stuck inside with your Netflix account, so what better way to kill some time?

I know I haven't written here in a while, but I'm back and I'm recommending some music to you. I'll tell you about some albums that you could listen to in quarantine. Whether you're looking for something more up-tempo or some more vibey, chill songs, I've got your back. I hope this music will make your isolation time a little more fun and a little less depressing. TWITTER.COM/HARRY_STYLES
Happy New Year everybody! I'm back and I'm talking about my favorite music yet again. Everyone is well aware of my love for Harry Styles, so this post doesn't come as a surprise. Harry has recently released his second solo album and I am, of course, in love with it. And considering I'm going to see him in concert in May, it would be very unfortunate if I hated the album. So, Fine Line by Harry Styles is definitely an album I strongly recommend giving a listen.

Fine Line is definitely a little bit sadder than the first album, it's more emotional and raw. I personally love that and I think the lyrics and the songs, in general, are beautiful. If you love songs that hit you right in the feels, you'll love this album, too. Of course, he's got more upbeat songs for those who prefer to dance and jump around to music. So, whether you prefer beautiful words or melodies you can dance to, Harry has got you covered. And even though some of the lyrics are sad, the songs aren't depressive.

The songs are mainly about a relationship that's falling apart a.k.a about a breakup. However, there are a few happier, more optimistic gems. There's something for everyone, as always. I haven't heard anyone say a bad word about Fine Line (probably because my sister hasn't heard it), which is a good sign. The three songs we were able to hear before the release of the album - Lights Up, Watermelon Sugar and Adore You - do give a good glimpse into the album, but they don't prepare you for how raw and emotional the rest of the album is.

As always, I have to name a few of my favorite songs. So, the songs I am most in love with are To Be So Lonely, She, Golden and Cherry, but the three singles are also very strong contenders. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, maybe you'll change your mind after listening to these beauties. So, spend your Saturday well and give Fine Line by Harry Styles a listen. You're welcome!

Holidays are all about relaxing, spending time with family and friends and taking a break from our busy lives. At least that's what I like to do during the holidays. A major part of my chill time is binge-watching some great TV shows and not leaving my bed. If that's what you like to do on your downtime as well, this post is for you. I want to share some of the shows that I absolutely adore and that I think are worth your time. I've re-watched some of these shows more times that I'd like to admit. But that just goes to show how great they are.

Drama shows you need to watch

Gossip Girl

Fist and foremost, you need to watch Gossip Girl. If you haven't already watched this amazing show, you need to come out from under that rock you've been living under and start watching it now. This time of year always makes me want to re-watch this show and I've just finished it a few weeks ago. I'm afraid to admit exactly how many times I've watched the entirety of the show, so I won't.

This is a cult show about the kids of the Upper East Side. It shows the glamorous life of some of the richest people in New York. It's scandalous, dramatic, full of plot twists and surprises. The main characters are teenagers from very rich families who are navigating life with the help of their trust funds. We get to see how they change throughout the years, how they grow and become adults. Not only are they rich and popular, but they're also the target of a gossip website called Gossip Girl that airs all of their dirty laundry and pretty much ruins their lives multiple times over the years.

The characters are very layered and you get to know all their different sides throughout the show. Other than that, the relationships between them are pretty complicated and it's super interesting to follow their journeys. It's very appealing to watch a show that pays so much attention to details, the wardrobe and the sets. Everything is very luxurious and expensive and it seems like a dream world. The storyline never gets boring or predictable as they really like to introduce new characters and surprise the viewers with a bunch of twits. I promise, you've never watched a show with so much drama and it's simply incredible. I think it's safe to say this is among my all-time favorite shows, and that's a big statement.

Why Women Kill

If you're looking for an intriguing and captivating drama series, but you can't really commit to watching 6 seasons of it, I recommend Why Women Kill. There's only one season so far, so you can binge it in a matter of days, if not hours.

This is a show that follows three different couples who've lived in the same house. One couple is from the 60s, the second one from the 80s and the third from 2019. All of the stories end with death, which is pretty obvious. However, the interesting thing is that you don't know who the killer is, who the victim is or why until the very end. It's not a predictable, cliché show. It's very gripping and it will fully grab your attention. If you want a quick, but dramatic and unique show to watch over the Christmas break, this one is a great choice.

Comedy shows to binge

Friends

I couldn't exactly talk about binge-watching TV shows without at least mentioning Friends. This is, no doubt, the show I've re-watched the most times and I can quote pretty much every single scene.

If you're looking for a funny show to distract you during the holidays, you can't go wrong with Friends. Whenever I don't know what to watch or I just need something short and fun to watch while taking a break, I always turn to Friends. That's how I end up watching the entire show at least once every year, but that's another topic. I don't think this show needs any explaining as it's a cult classic and everybody has heard of it. So, if you're having a lazy day and you want something that will keep you entertained, you know what to do.

Sex And the City

This show might not scream ''Christmas!'', but it does scream entertainment. Just like Friends, this is another classic show that most people have already watched. However, it's also a show that you can't get bored of and that you can re-watch time and time again. At least that's what I do. I'm currently on the second season of Sex And the City and I am loving it. It's fun, funny, unique and it allows you to turn your brain off and just relax. What more do you need from a sitcom, really? Again, I don't think I need to describe this show to you, you've definitely heard of it.

The Good Place

The Good Place is a relatively new comedy show that has a very interesting and one of a kind storyline. It's about the afterlife and the idea of heaven and hell, or the good and the bad place. It talks about how people earn the right to go to the good place, if people can change and get better and many other ethical questions. It's super interesting to watch a show that deals with such complex philosophical ideas while still managing to be relatable, funny and easy to follow. It's definitely not like any other sitcom I've watched, so I highly recommend giving it a go.

So, those are all the TV shows I wanted to talk about. I've watched all of these pretty recently and that's why I wanted to shout them out and recommend them to anyone who's looking for something fun to watch. I absolutely love all of these shows and I hope you will to. Feel free to recommend other TV shows to binge during the holidays in the comments below and I'll talk to you soon. Have fun!

Hi, you need to listen to this album. My favorite baby has finally released new music and I am obsessed. Shocker, I know. Well, I want everyone else to love it as much as I do. If you aren't already religiously listening to PONY, it's time you start.

It's fun, it's upbeat (for the most part) and most importantly, it's beautiful. As always, the lyrics of each song hit the feels like nothing else. It's an album full of beautiful words and melodies that are in true Rex Orange County - different, unexpected, surprising. You can't put Rex in a box and define his genre. You can just enjoy his gorgeous songs. As expected, the songs are pretty emotional and you'll hear some sad lyrics with upbeat, happy melodies. What are my favorite songs? I don't know if I'm ready to answer that. I'll give you a rough idea, though: It Gets Better, Always, Face to Face, Pluto Projector, Never Had the Balls, It's Not the Same Anymore. Okay, I've named six out of ten songs. Way to narrow it down.

I've been listening to this album every day ever since it came out and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I feel like his music always speaks to my soul and something about it really resonates with me. I just think Rex deserves way more attention and love as his music is absolutely incredible and unique. So, just go and listen to this masterpiece. That's all I wanted to say today. Talk to you sometime soon.
