If you were around at the time I first mentioned this book, you'll be able to tell how long it took me to read it. That has nothing to do with the book itself, though, but with my incredible lack of concentration. However, I finally managed to put an end to the process of reading it in February and I'm here to share my thoughts. This won't be a particularly long post, but I thought it deserved a mention considering I'm not really doing monthly recommendations this month as I don't have any.
The story revolves around a man's relationship with a woman called Marianne. They are in complete contrast to one another as the nameless man is very quiet and lethargic, while Marianne is very chatty and dominant over him. She gradually moves into his apartment and completely takes over his life with her ability to always get what she wants, while he never really states his opinion on things. He just seems completely indifferent to everything 95% of the time. It's funny because he has all these thoughts and plans to say so many things, but never really goes through with it. I love how he also makes a conscious decision to fall in love with her as if that's something you can choose. Their whole relationship is very interesting to read because it's so messed up, or at least I thought so.
The author's style of writing is what intrigued me most because it is so, so simple. He doesn't even use direct speech, but only reported, which I found very interesting. He describes a lot of trivial actions and I think it's exactly that simplicity that makes the reader kind of relate to it but also makes the book very easy to read (unless you're me and need months to finish reading a single book). I also loved how phlegmatic and passive the main character is especially when we can clearly see that his inner monologue is opposed to his actions.
All in all, it's pretty different to any book I've read so far and I would recommend it if you're looking for an interesting, quick read.

Jan 26th: Here I am again talking about skincare. In an attempt to fix my skin, I bought this moisturizer yesterday and I am praying to all the gods that it will do me good. I'll start this review off by telling you my opinion so far.

I've used it 3 times so far and I am really enjoying it. It's very lightweight, which I love in a moisturizer because it sinks in very quickly and doesn't leave my face feeling caked in product. It's also got a bit of a cooling effect, which is quite refreshing and pleasant. So far I haven't noticed any drastic changes in my skin, but I have only been using it for a day and a half, so it wasn't expected. I really hope that I'll keep enjoying this product.
It claims to moisturise and help prevent spots and blemishes, so that sounds very promising, let's see if it keeps that promise.

Feb 5th: Okay, I don't know if it is the moisturizer, the end of that time of the month or a combination of the two, but my skin is definitely looking much, much better. I've been using this moisturizer morning and night more or less every day, and even if it isn't the sole reason for my skin getting better, it is still a product I would recommend because it is super refreshing and very lightweight, which is something I highly rate in a face cream. I would definitely repurchase this product. It's a yes from me.

Feb 18th: Just thought I'd check in and say that I am still absolutely loving this product and the way it makes my skin feel. It definitely has my vote.

As I've mentioned in one of my previous posts, my skin has been horrible lately, so I've been doing everything possible in order to fix it. My mum suggested making a rosemary tonic to calm it down, which sounded amazing to me and hopefully does to you as well. If it does, here's what you need to do.
Take 2 teaspoons of rosemary and add them into a pot with about 250ml of water in it (you can obviously adjust the measurements). Put the pot on the stove and wait for it to boil. Once it's boiled, leave it to cool down for a while. Then, strain the water off from the rosemary and pour it into a bowl or a dish of choice and your tonic is ready to go. Apply it with a cotton pad like you would a regular tonic and enjoy your refreshed skin after each use.
I apply it both in the morning and before bed, but you can do whatever you think is best for your skin, of course. Let me know what you think if you try this.

So, I've always been a fan of cereal and muesli, and recently I've discovered this great mixture that I'm about to share with you. Here's what I've been eating quite regularly.

What you need:
○ yoghurt
○ honey

○ muesli
○ almonds
○ sunflower seeds
○ pumpkin seeds
○ dry cranberries

Pour some yoghurt into a bowl and add a teaspoon of honey into it. Mix it in and then start adding all of these goodies: muesli, almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and dry cranberries. Now that it's all looking very instagrammable, take a photo of it to prove how healthy can be delicious and then enjoy!
